Reading the Weird” is an ongoing exploration of The Weird: A Compendium of Strange & Dark Stories conducted by Leah Thomas. The webcomic follows the journey of Mary and Ed through ever stranger landscapes and encounters, seemingly influenced by the stories in the anthology. Episode 6 includes references to Amos Tutuola’s “The Complete Gentleman,” Hugh Walpole’s “The Tarn,” and Murakami’s “The Ice Man,” as the plot becomes ever more complex… Come back next Monday for the sensational and bittersweet episode 7.

  1. Very nice Tutuola ref-the Debtor Skulls usually go for impudently proud young Damosels, thouh, not fishy types?
